Live Photo to video
Pull the MP4 out of an iPhone Live Photo, with its audio. Runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and nothing is charged.
A .livp from iPhone, or the .MOV half of a Live Photo pair.
The video is already inside the file. Your browser opens it — nothing is uploaded.
Audio intact, no watermark, nothing to install.
Converting a Live Photo to video, free
An iPhone Live Photo is two files kept together: a still image and a short QuickTime movie with sound. When you share one as a file it arrives as a .livp, which is a container holding both halves. Converting a Live Photo to video means opening that container and taking the movie out.
Because the video already exists inside the file, no re-encoding is needed and no server has to touch it. Your browser reads the file, finds the movie, and hands it to you as an MP4 with the audio intact. That is why this page has no upload step, no queue, and no limit on how many you convert.
Use it to send a Live Photo to someone on Android, post it where Live Photos are not supported, or keep an ordinary video copy alongside the original.
Frequently asked questions
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. A Live Photo file already contains the video, so the work is reading the file rather than processing it. That happens in your browser, and the file never leaves your device.
What file do I give it?
A .livp file, which is what iPhone exports when you share a Live Photo as a file. If you copied a Live Photo to a computer you may instead have a .HEIC and a .MOV side by side — in that case drop the .MOV, which is the video half.
Does it keep the sound?
Yes. Live Photos record about three seconds of audio along with the motion, and that audio track comes through untouched.
Why is my video only about three seconds?
That is the length iPhone records. A Live Photo captures roughly 1.5 seconds either side of the shutter, so the video inside is around three seconds. Nothing is being trimmed.
Can I do this on the iPhone itself?
For a Live Photo already in your camera roll, yes: open it in Photos, tap the share button, and choose Save as Video. This page is for when you have the file rather than the photo — a .livp someone sent you, or a Live Photo copied onto a computer.
Is there a limit or a watermark?
Neither. There is no sign-up, no file count, and nothing is added to the video, because converting costs us nothing to run.
Going the other way
If what you have is a still photo rather than a Live Photo, our AI can generate the motion instead of extracting it.
